Giant Mekong Catfish, is one of the strongest fighting freshwater fish species in the World.

The Mekong giant catfish (Pangasianodon gigas) lives in most of Thailand's waters.
In the wild, it is almost impossible to catch a Mekong catfish with a fishing rod because it feeds primarily on algae and phytoplankton.
However, they can be caught in private waters where they were born or occupied and are used to being fed bread, pellets, lum, and boilies.
There are many places where only small or medium-sized fish live, or only small populations exist. Thailand-Fishing knows very well all the places where fishing for

Mekong Catfish is very good.

On our day trips you will catch so many Mekong catfish in medium (60 lbs.)size and with a little luck, big ones that you can't believe it!

If you really want to catch a gigas mekong catfish, we recommend booking a multi-day fishing trip. On this trip we will bring you to Venuses, where each of our guests has been able to catch Giant Mekong Catfish from 130lbs up to 350 lbs.

Fish over 400 lbs. are possible!
